This is a song about the hypocrisy of shaming a woman who struggles to see her own worth, and because of that is often targeted by partners who reinforce that inaccurate belief in the way they see and treat her without dignity and value. Each of us deserves to be treated with worth and dignity, and when there are those of us who have forgotten the miracle that we all are, we should be able to count on people in our lives and community to remind us of the gift that we all are to the world around us.
